5 Pro Tips to Prevent Two-Wheeler Accidents

Getting started in the world of motorcycling is very exciting and many people who are just getting started often make the mistake of riding too enthusiastically which leads to accidents. What we have here is a collection of five professional tips to prevent accidents. Make sure to follow them and use your best judgement at all times because there cannot possibly be a solution for every unforeseen challenge that you might face on the road.

  1. Ride with a fresh mind: Never ride a motorcycle when you are tired and fatigued because you need the complete availability of the faculty of your brains and senses to be able to take proper judgement and decisions at the drop of a hat. When you are riding at extremely high speeds there is simply no margin for error and you cannot take a lot of time to make the correct decision because even a small delay in taking the right decision might cost you dearly! Always be sure to have complete control over the motorcycle and what that you will need to stay awake and aware of everything happening around you.

  1. Use the daylight to your advantage: Riding after sunset is not a good idea especially if you are in an area that does not have proper don't lighting infrastructure. In case you have to do that very frequently, consider investing in aftermarket motorcycle lighting equipment which will give you a better range of vision so that you can see everything and take necessary actions to prevent an accident. Whenever possible, make sure to end your rides before sunset so that you do not have to depend on unreliable street lighting or be blinded by oncoming traffic. This is more important when you're riding to an unknown destination and you do not know about the place well.

  1. Avoid getting in people’s blind spots: A very common mistake that riders of all experience levels are guilty of doing is of getting in other people's blind spots. A blind spot is an imaginary location that every vehicle has, it is an area approximately above the rear wheel of the vehicle. This is where the rear-view mirrors cannot not see and if any other vehicle happens to be in that spot you might not be able to see it in the rear-view mirror: which is an invitation for an accident! Have complete situational awareness of everything that is happening around you, and be sure to give other riders a good way of knowing that you are right behind them.

  1. Ride within your limits: In order to stay safe while riding a motorcycle, always be completely cognizant of your abilities as a motorcycle rider and your machine’s ability to meet your demands! never push your limits of the machine too hard because the moment you start doing that, the mechanical and physical limitations of the machine get stressed which isn't a good thing. if you happen to be in an emergency condition and expect more performance out of the machine by suddenly braking hard on it, that is when the limits get exceeded and accidents happen.

  1. Always use riding safety gear: You would be surprised to know how many accidents can be prevented just by wearing the right riding safety gears! Invest in the complete motorcycle riding accessory ensemble and have a good quality motorcycle and two-wheeler riding helmet along with gloves and jackets so that you remain completely safe even if you happen to be in a road accident.
